Gravel is a construction resources usable for construction and exportation.
Background
Gravel is a loose aggregate of rock fragments, formed naturally due to rock fragmentation or produced for commercial purposes as crushed stone. It is an important commercial product, with a large number of applications, such as construction of roads and buildings. This important industrial aggregate can be found employed all around the world.
Gameplay
Gravel is one of the most important (construction) materials in the republic. Gravel is an intermediate product, made from quarried stone in a gravel processing plant. Gravel is not only used for the construction of roads and buildings, but also serves as a base material for many other materials such as asphalt, cement and even chemicals.
Gravel can be imported from a customs house or be auto-purchased, exporting gravel is not very profitable due to it's low trading value.
Production
Gravel is produced from quarried stone at a rate of 68.3% or 67.5% in the large/small gravel processing plants. It can have a maximum daily production of 82/27t per large/small gravel processing plant.
Storage
Gravel may be stored in aggregate storage buildings.
Transportation
Gravel can be transported by using dumper trucks, by trains using hopper cargo wagons, cableway, ship, or conveyor.
Uses
Gravel is a resource used in the creation of asphalt, cement, concrete, prefab panels and chemicals. It is a resource used for almost every building in game during it's early construction phases and, for this reason, a requirement for a republic's engineering sector. It can be used in trading, but it usually has a very low buying and selling value.
Notes
- Gravel mostly used for construction of Buildings and Roads.
- Gravel serves as a base material for other (construction) materials.
- Gravel are one of the cheapest construction materials in-game.
