Meat is a resource in Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic.
Background
Meat is flesh or other edible parts of animals (usually domesticated cattle, swine, and sheep) used for food, including not only the muscles and fat but also the tendons and ligaments.
Meat is valued as a complete protein food containing all the amino acids necessary for the human body. The fat of meat, which varies widely with the species, quality, and cut, is a valuable source of energy and also influences the flavour, juiciness, and tenderness of the lean. Parts such as livers, kidneys, hearts, and other portions are excellent sources of vitamins and of essential minerals, easily assimilated by the human system.
Gameplay
Meat is mostly used for selling in stores and shops to the citizens. Meat has a positive effect on health of the citizens. Citizens who are unable to acquire meat may have happiness penalties, as meat is considered one of the shopping needs of a citizen.
Production
Livestock has to transported to a slaughterhouse and turned over into meat.
Storage
Meat may be stored in a meat storage. The meat storage must be connected to power, because the temperature needs to be a about -2 to 0 degrees celsius.
Transportation
Meat can be transported by using refrigeration trucks or by trains using refrigeration/isotherm cargo wagons.
Uses
Meat is mainly used for selling to citizens for their consumption. The player can also export meat. It doesn't have any further applications, being considered an end product.
