Background
An asphalt plant, also known as a bitumen plant, is a facility that manufactures asphalt, a sticky, black, and highly viscous liquid or semi-solid form of petroleum. These plants combine aggregates, sand, and filler material with bitumen to produce asphalt mixtures used in road construction and repair. Asphalt plants come in various types, including batch plants and continuous mix plants, each with its own production methods and advantages. They play a vital role in infrastructure development, providing the necessary materials for constructing durable and reliable roads, highways, and other transportation networks.
Gameplay
In Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic asphalt is produced in an Asphalt plant from gravel and bitumen. The produced asphalt can be used as a construction material for buildings and roads. The asphalt cannot be stored in the plant, instead it must be transported immediately to the construction site using dumpers.
When there are no workers at the asphalt plant, the plant stops producing asphalt, dumpers will return to the construction office, which can slow down construction progress.
Production
The asphalt plant can have a maximum daily production of 145t of asphalt per workday.
Storage
Asphalt can not be stored. There is a small buffer available of 0.50 ton asphalt in the asphalt plant.
Transportation
Asphalt must be transported by using dump trucks.
Uses
Asphalt is only used in the construction industry for building roads and buildings.
