Coal comes in two forms, Coal ore and Coal. Coal ore is mined from Coal Mines and is processed into Coal in Coal ore processing plants. Both are Aggregates and are transported as such.

Coal is required to manufacture Bricks, Cement, Steel, or can be burned in Heating Plants to create heating for your city or Coal Power Plants to generate Electricity.
