A Harpy

Overview

Harpies Harpies are a noble and fragile species, yet with a primal, aggressive side. They excel at Alchemy Alchemy and enjoy Tailoring Tailoring.

Their Starting Ability is to bring 50 Coats Coats. Harpies have a base Resolve of 5, with a Break interval of 01:40 minutes. Their Resilience is listed as Low, and their Demand is at 15. With a Decadence level of 3 and a Hunger Tolerance of 4, Harpies are easy to leave and make for a demanding yet rewarding species.

Consumption and Satisfaction

Like all species, Harpies need to fulfill Complex Needs to start generating Reputation. The more Complex Needs you fulfill, the higher their Resolve will go, up to a maximum of 50. With the exception of the Housing Needs, every need fulfilled grants an additional effect, like Paste's increased double production chance. With a Break interval of 100 seconds, Harpies require noticeably more goods to keep their Resolve up, compared to other species.

Proficiency & Comfort

Harpies' Proficiency specialization is Alchemy Alchemy. It grants Harpies a 10% chance to produce twice the amount of resources when working in the following buildings:

A Group of Harpies
  • There is a Harpy Trader named Xiadani Stormfeather.
  • Harpies have two skins, with one skin having purple waistcoats, slimmer pants and blue gloves - and the other skin having red waistcoats, puffy pants and brown gloves.
  • They also have two voice pitches, high and low.
  • At 7 blueprints, Harpies have the fewest Comfort bonuses of all species.
  • Harpies are the only species to wear both Coats Coats and Boots.
  • Harpies first appeared in the lore after a Discord poll between them and Bats. Harpies were added to the game in the 0.18 Grace of the Harpies Update.
  • Before update 1.4, Harpies had Biscuits Biscuits and Pie Pie needs instead of Paste and Boots.
