Helicopters are a type of vehicle in Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic.
Overview
There are a few helicopters currently in the game. These can be bought at heliports, helicopter construction offices, and passenger heliport platforms. If a heliport is connected to a building where the player can normally purchase road vehicles, they will also be able to purchase helicopters there. As an example, attaching a heliport to a fire station will make helicopters available in the vehicle purchasing menu of said fire station.
Helicopters can transport cargo and passengers via air. They are the easiest form of air transport to setup since you don't need a runway to operate them, although helicopters are significantly slower then planes.
Energy management
Helicopters will require resources to be able to move if the player has enabled the 'Energy management' setting to 'Buildings + vehicles', making them require and consume fuel. There are no eletric helicopters in the game.

Firefighting
Helicopters can be used for firefighting when located in heliports attached to fire stations. Having no limitations to road pathing distance, they sometimes can reach further than regular vehicles. While they require bodies of water near their location to fill themselves with water for their task, helicopters don't require workers to man them in their task. These facts can create an interesting strategy for on-construction cities needing firefighting capabilities before being inhabited or to remote locations where sending workers can be too ineffective or not worth it.

- Unlike resources, buying helicopters does not come with an additional fee for delivery. They can be sold back for a reduced price at any moment.
