Background

A steel mill or steelworks is an industrial plant for the manufacture of steel. It may be an integrated steel works carrying out all steps of steelmaking from smelting iron ore to rolled product, but may also be a plant where steel semi-finished casting products are made from molten pig iron or from scrap.

Gameplay

A steel mill produces steel using coal and iron. It is available in the metallurgy menu, offers 500 positions for workers, and is typically the first test of a logistics system given its high resource usage rate.

Storage

Steel may be stored in both small and medium open storage buildings.

Transportation

They can be transported by using open-hull trucks, trains using open-hull cargo wagons, or by forklifts.
