The Initiative can gain 250 Money and 50 Influence while reducing the effects to -2 Cohesion and +1 Unrest.
- Personality Clash can take place while having two councilors who both have at least 5 traits. One of both councilors will lose sole Loyalty unless the faction can pay a large amount of Influence.
- Sanctions can take place when a faction controls 6 Control Points in a nation with a navy and a rival. The rival nation's GDP will increase by 1% but the faction will have the option to turn it into -1% GDP and +0.3 Inequality.
- Scandal can happen in any nation that has a Government above 2 and its Control Points are controlled by a faction. The faction will lose Public Opinion. There is a 60% chance to avoid it by paying 500 Money, 50 Influence and 5 Ops.
- Snap Exercises can take place when two nations are rivals, controlled by different factions, and one of them has neither armies not strategic nuclear barrages. The nation without any of these lose -1 Cohesion and the faction controlling it will lose some Public Opinion. The other nation's Miltech will rise by 0.1.
- Solar Flare can take place after the Mission to the Moon global research has been completed to any faction that has at least 20 Mission Control. It will reduce Mission Control by 50% for 6 months unless the faction can pay 100 Boost. If the Devolved Space Command council engineering project has been completed there will be a third option to pay 1K Money to reduce the penalty to 25%.
- Sudden Flowering can take place in any region that had abductions. An Alien Life Forms alien asset will appear in the region. 20 Ops can be spent to reduce the initial growth, or 20 Influence can be spent to gain 300 Research. The Servants can spend 50 Influence to increase the initial growth and gain Public Opinion.
- Wildfires can take place to any nation controlled by a faction. It will lose some GDP and population unless the faction pays 20 Ops.
- Work-Related Stress can take place while having a councilor has been used for at least 5 years. The councilor will gain a random trait.
- Hurricane / Typhoon can take place when a faction owns Control Points in a coastal nation with at least one coastal region. The nation will lose GDP and population and all armies inside will lose 10 Strength. The faction can choose to pay 200 Money and 20 Ops to limit the losses and gain some Public opinion. The name of the event depends on the hit region.
Hab Events
Hab Events can only happen to factions that control at least one hab.
- Backer Tour can take place after the Settlement Habs global research has been completed to any faction that has a tier 2 or 3 hab with at least one module. If the hab has any Money income the faction can pay 5K Money and 25 Boost to increase Economy priority effects by 2%. If the hab has any Research income the faction can pay 5K Money and 25 Boost to increase Knowledge priority effects by 2%. If the hab has any defenses the faction can pay 5K Money and 25 Boost to increase Military priority effects by 2%.
- Dry Hole can take place after the Space Mining and Refining global research has been completed to any faction that has a tier 2 or 3 base hab with a Mining Complex module. The resources present at the hab site will decrease by -50%. If the council's total Science attributes are above 35 there is a chance that resources will decrease by -25% instead.
- Hab Accident can happen to any hab that has intact modules. A module will be destroyed.
- Hab Offers To Defect can take place after the Industrialization of Space global research has been completed to any faction that has at least 5 Mission Control. If the offer is accepted there is a chance that one hab from another human faction will switch sides.
- Loose Packet can take place after the Space Mining and Refining global research has been completed to any faction that has a base hab with a Mining Complex module. A module will be destroyed. Can pay 30 Volatiles and 75 Base Metals for a 60% chance to avoid it. If the habitat has defense modules There is a 70% chance to avoid it.
- Lucky Strike can take place after the Space Mining and Refining global research has been completed to any faction that has a base hab with a Mining Complex module. The resources present at the hab site will increase by 25%. If the council's total Science attributes are above 35 there is a chance that resources will increase by 50% instead.
- Meteor Strike can happen to any faction that has a station hab that has intact modules. It has an 80% chance to destroy a module. If the station has defenses or docked ships it can attempt to destroy the meteor.
- Science Tour can take place after the Directed Space Research global research has been completed to any faction that has a tier 2 or 3 hab with at least one module. The faction will gain at least 500 Research and depending on constructed modules can pay 10K Money and 50 Boost to gain 500 Influence, 0.02 Antimatter or 5% increase in mining output and ship build speed.
Orbital Debris Events
Orbital Debris Events can only take place once debris clouds in an orbit rise above a certain threshold. Higher number of debris clouds increase the frequency of events.
- Debris Duty can take place after the Industrialization of Space global research has been completed if there is at least 1 cloud of debris in the same orbit as a station hab. The faction owning the hab will gain 50 Research. Alternatively orbital debris can also be reduced if the station has has shipyard, construction or defense module.
- Orbital Debris Strike can take place if there is at least 1 cloud of debris in the same orbit as a station hab with intact modules and no defenses. 2-4 modules will be destroyed and orbital debris might increase.
- Low Earth Orbit Cleanup can take place if there are at least 10 clouds of debris in Low-Earth Orbit and a faction has at least 0.1 Boost income. The faction will have the option to pay varying amounts of Money and Boost to lower orbital debris and gain Public Opinion in every nation.
- Kessler Syndrome can take place if there are at least 40 clouds of debris in Low-Earth Orbit. 10 clouds of debris will be added, all factions will lose -10% Mission Control for 6 months and -8% Economy priority effect for 12 months.
Xenoforming Events
Xenoforming events can be triggered in regions that have an Alien Life Forms alien asset and are controlled by a faction.
First Base Foundings
First Base Foundings will reward the first faction that constructs a base hab on a certain celestial body with Influence and Research.
Phobos and Deimos will not grant Mars or Asteroid rewards.
