Overview
The Queen's forests were once part of the Smoldering City, but the Blightstorm reclaimed this land. The Royal Woodlands are rich in roots, moss broccoli, mushrooms, and flax, with a decent amount of dewberries and clay. The ground is fertile and soft, which makes it perfect for farming. The Woodlands are probably the first biome a Viceroy will look to when starting their first settlement.
Effects
Resources
The Royal Woodlands has an average amount of Fertile Soil and contains the following Resources:
Trees
All trees can be harvested by Woodcutters' Camps to give Wood. They may also grant additional Resources depending on the biome. These trees have 2 charges each.

Strategy
- Royal Woodlands' most prominent feature is its trees. 100% bonus Wood yields make fuel a non-issue.
- Gift of the Woodlands influences decisions around Wood and fuel in several ways:
- All blueprints that focus on fuel production are significantly less valuable in this biome: Kiln, Press, Druid's Hut.
- As there is little need for fuel beyond Wood, any Sea Marrow you find can be used for Sacrificing or opening Abandoned Caches.
- All Cornerstones that boost Wood production are weaker compared to other biomes.
- Lumber Mill's unparalleled efficiency in Planks production is less noticeable.
- Royal Woodlands trees yield a considerable amount of Resin, which can be sold to a Trader or used for Coats, Tea and Crystalized Dew production.
- Royal Woodlands has no ore veins. You will have to source Copper Ore from Clay deposits or Scales from Copperfin Ponds if you wish to get some metal. Alternatively, you can produce Crystalized Dew in a Forester's Hut or an Alchemist's Hut.
