Background

A chemical plant or chemical processing plant, is an industrial facility where various chemical compounds are manufactured or processed on a large scale. These plants are crucial for producing a wide range of products, including pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, plastics, and specialty chemicals. Typically, chemicals plants involve complex processes such as chemical reactions, distillation, and separation techniques. They require stringent safety protocols due to the potentially hazardous nature of the materials involved. Chemical plants play a vital role in modern society by supplying essential raw materials for numerous industries and contributing to economic growth and innovation.

Gameplay

The game provides two types of Chemical plants which both differ in size. There is a small chemical plant for early/early mid game and a very large one. The chemical plant requires Oil, Crops, Gravel, and Wood to produce chemicals. regarding the small chemical plant the storage for these are low in the building itself however this is fine as the production of chemicals is very slow even with a fully staffed plant of 60 workers.

This means that if one wishes to export chemicals on a large basis several would be needed to fill a warehouse. The main use for chemicals is for plastic manufacture and fabric. And even though chemical production is slow it is enough to keep a Plastic Factory working if plastics are not being used on a large scale, so far example only being used in vehicle and electronics production.

Later in the game the player might place the large chemical plant which needs huge amount of resources to operate.

Depending on the game settings tyhe building is locked at the beginning of the game and requires the Chemistry research to be done at the Technical University before you can build the chemicals.

Production

Chemicals resource flow chart

The large Chemical plant can have a maximum daily production of 9.4t of chemicals per workday, while the small Chemical plant has a maximum daily production of 0.81t of chemicals per workday.

Storage

Chemicals can be stored in warehouses.

Transportation

Chemicals can be transported in covered hull trucks, train boxcars and with Forklifts via Factory connections.

Uses

Main article: Chemicals

Chemicals are a resource which has multiple uses for the creation of other resources such as Plastics, Electro components, Fabric, Aluminium oxide, Aluminium and Uranium oxide. Chemicals are a very profittable resource to export for money.
