Abandoned Caches

Overview
Abandoned Caches are stockpiles of materials found as you explore glades. They count as Glade Events and range between Small, Medium, and Large. They require Tools,
Stone,
Sea Marrow or
Training Gear in order to open or send, costing more resources the bigger their size is.
Small Caches only appear in Small Glades, however Medium and Large Caches can appear both in Dangerous and Forbidden Glades. Forbidden Glades seem to be weighted towards Large Caches; Dangerous - towards Medium Caches.
When opening Caches, you not only get more Resources the bigger the Cache is, but also higher quality Resources.

Strategy
Foxes'
Forest Specialization will speed up the opening / sending process.
- Assigning a Scout to work on opening a Cache saves relatively little time compared to assigning a Scout to haul the resources to storage. In a labor crunch, you can spend that work time elsewhere.
- Consider building a Warehouse next to a Cache to speed up the hauling process after opening it, especially if you have Reckless Plunder or Old Fedora Hat.
- When your
Tools production is limited and you want to maximize Reputation gain, Small and Medium Caches are going to be more efficient than Large Caches. Small Caches offer the best
Tools-to-Reputation ratio.
- If you happen to build up a large amount of
Tools and run out of Caches, consider cutting through to several big Glades at the same time to close out the game by sending the Caches you find (before any of the Glade Event consequences come into effect).
- As with all Glade Events, walking speed and carrying capacity Effects, like Light as a Feather from a
Harpies Firekeeper, are going to greatly speed up both how soon your Scouts start solving the Event and the rate of hauling Resources.
- As with all Glade Events, Haulers do not interact with Caches in any capacity.
