Hovering over a resource will show its current buying and selling price at the Holy Caravan. Certain resources can only be bought after relations with the Matriarch are sufficiently high.
Each resource has a local demand and market saturation value. Market saturation increases each time a resource is sold and goes down over time. If market saturation becomes greater than local demand then prices for the resource will drop. Resources that are easier to produce have a higher Market Saturation that those that are more difficult to produce.
Currencies
There are two kinds of currencies. Both of them are primarily obtained by trading.
Gold is the more common currency, used for wage to peasants and trading.
Holy Rings is the more rare currency, used in some actions between lords. Having too few can give a negative thought while having many can give a positive thought and a significant difference in rings can lead to Envy.
Construction
Construction resources are used to construct, upgrade or repair buildings and can also be refined into other resources. Wood can also be used to restore fertility to fields.

Food
Food resources are used to fulfill the Food need. Lords take them for free from a Warehouse or Hall while peasants must purchase it from a Market or the Holy Caravan.
Alcohol
Alcohol resources are used to fulfill the Rest need but frequent consumption can cause addiction. They are produced in a Brewery. Lords take them for free from Warehouse or Hall while peasants must purchase it from a Tavern.
Materials
Material resources do not have direct uses but can be refined into more valuable resources.
