Important: Information is subject to change during development

Ships in Falling Frontier are classified into four types: Frigates, Destroyers, Cruisers, and Battlecruisers. There are no battleships or carriers in the Frontier sector, as these ships are considered too expensive to build during the colonization of a new system. There will be over 20 ship hulls in the final release, which includes military and civilian hull types.

Parasite craft

These vessels serve to augment and help the ships defenses or abilities. They are available if the ship is equipped with the carrier module. Some of the known roles of parasite craft are search and rescue, repair, logistical support craft and faster resupply. More information will be released at later dates. Parasite craft serve a similar role to the airplanes that were on cruisers and battleships during World War 2. Not yet implemented.
