Ship Components
Important: Information is subject to change during development
External components
External components are comprised of weapons. Currently known and incorporated weapons are railgun, pulse cannon, cannon, missiles, point defense weapons, VLS, flak cannons and mines. External components have size limits marked as CL1-CL4.
Internal components
Internal components enhance the ship and allows for further customization. Adding ship components adds to the weight of the ship which will affect its jump range.
Crew quarters
Necessary for basic living and amenities for the crew.
Bridges
Each ship will have a Bridge module. There are three types of known bridge modules:
Type | Credits | Ore | Fuel |
---|---|---|---|
Standard | 300 | 50 | 80 |
Reinforced | 500 | 90 | 120 |
Medical | 700 | 200 | 180 |
A reinforced bridge providing additional protection to the command crew. A medical bridge is equipped with a medical bay capable of healing minor wounds at a faster rate.
Jump drive
This internal module enhances the ships jump drive. It can be further upgraded to better range and lower fuel consumption. There are three types of known jump drive modules:
Type | Credits | Ore | Fuel |
---|---|---|---|
Standard | 200 | 100 | 50 |
Reinforced | 300 | 200 | 100 |
Enhanced | 600 | 400 | 200 |
Enhanced jump drive has longer jump capacity. Reinforced jump drive is equipped with an external housing providing more protection.
Hangars
Hangars have multiple uses depending on which specialization is chosen. The specializations can improve the following factors:
- Improve performance of offloading and loading resources.
- Improve search and rescue operations.
- Provide fighters for close combat aid.
- Small support ships that may repair both parent ship and other ships in a certain radius.
Extra escape pods
TBD
Asteroid attachment module
A module that lets the ship attach to an asteroid. While attached the ship is in a powered down state. If the ship needs to detach it must be powered up during which it would be vulnerable to attack.
Boarding Module
A module that houses a complement of marines specifically tasked with taking over stations.
Support modules
There are a number of planned support modules that enhance the ship and other aspects.
