Nebulae are large gas clouds found in the Frontier sector. The names of nebula or their location are not known. Nebulas reduce ship visibility, block [[Scouting|probes]] from scanning, and don't let the player jump from within it. Nebulas also block the Line of Sight of recon stations. They are perfect areas to hide stations or flotillas from the enemy though they can severely inhibit the player's ability to detect incoming flotillas. The decreased sensor range can be countered by upgrades on ships and stations. Nebulas create an area called the Exclusion Zone. Nebulas can also be given damage by area of effect abilities in the editor and safe zones.

Important: Information is subject to change during development

Stars

The Frontier sector contains two stars, one of which is Damarat. The stars can interfere with the Line of Sight of recon stations. They do not provide any resources in the form of fuel, ore, food, money, or population. Ships close to one of the suns are harder to detect even with active scans. The downside of having a ship close to the sun is that the closer it is to the sun, the more damage it will receive to its overall HP every game day.

Planets

Du'Resh

The Frontier sector contains multiple planets. Currently, known planets include Alyas, Dume, Du'Resh, and Ka'Vet. Some planets are gas giants, which are not colonizable. Gas giants do not provide resources in the form of ore, fuel, population, money, or food. Planets are important as they are the central hubs and where the majority of the population can be found. They can provide resources in the form of population and money from taxation. Planets can interfere with the Line of Sight of recon stations and can provide ore and fuel if deep core mining is performed though there are trade-offs. The mass of planets creates an area called the Exclusion Zone. No ship can jump or leave within the exclusion zone, they must clear the area to be able to jump.

Moons

Celeste

Planets in the Frontier sector contain large quantities of moons. Currently, known moons are Celeste, Icre, Khajul, Hubaya, and Harb. These moons orbit around Du'Resh. They can provide resources in the form of population and money from taxation. Moons can interfere with the Line of Sight of recon stations and can provide ore and fuel if deep core mining is performed though there are trade-offs. The mass of moons creates an area called the Exclusion Zone.

Asteroid fields

Asteroid fields are important celestial bodies for resource harvesting. They may contain ore and fuel needed to ensure the growth of the player's faction. Asteroids within the asteroid field will block the Line of Sight of ships, making them perfect areas to stage an ambush. Resource asteroids are indestructible, while other asteroids can be destroyed by weapons fire, or ships passing through. If a ship passes through an asteroid it will not suffer damage. The mass of asteroid fields creates an area called the Exclusion Zone.
