Overview
The Mine is an essential Resource Gathering building. It has to be placed over at least 1 vein of Copper Ore,
Coal, or
Salt. The mine is the only way to make use of these veins.
The Mine is unlocked at level 2.
Whether you get Copper Ore,
Coal, or
Salt charges and their amount depends on the number and resource of veins covered by the Mine.

Strategies
- Make sure to build a Small Warehouse next to the Mine to cut down on the time workers spend hauling resources.
- There are virtually no scenarios in which the Minecart upgrade outperforms Pit Ponies. [1]
- At full citadel, with optimal warehouse and hearth placement, miners on average spend 22.4 seconds working in the mine, 3.2 seconds taking break, and 2.5 seconds hauling per every charge.[1]
