Pumping Stations, available under the Pipeline Sub-Menu beneath the Infrastructure Menu, provide pumping power for liquid transport used in Oil Logistics.
Pumping Stations come in two varieties. The first version can be thought of as a splitter, taking one liquid input and providing three liquid outputs. These can be used, for instance, when a field of Pumpjacks need to supply multiple buildings with Oil. The other variety is the opposite, taking three liquid inputs and providing one liquid output. This allows you to, among other things, coordinate multiple Pumpjacks providing Oil to a single Storage Tank or Oil Refinery.
Without Pumping Stations, players will find liquid transfer between buildings to be very slow, as without the demand provided by Pumping Stations, the game looks to equalize storage rates between buildings. Therefore Pumping Stations are a very important part of Oil Logistics.
