The difficulty of the game can be changed at any point in the options menu. Sons of Valhalla offers the following difficulty levels:
| Difficulty | Modifications | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Easy | Runes do not have to be sacrificed 100% more resource generation 50% less enemy damage 50% less health points for enemies | |
| Normal | No modifications | |
| Hard | 50% more enemy damage 50% more health points for enemies | |
| Hel | 100% more enemy damage 50% more health points for enemies |
