Settings

Your Matabele ant colony must defend itself from the threat of 3 titans. Nest entrance will be automatically excavated after you have played for 90 seconds.

The level starts at night.

You have access to 3 termite colonies. Dead colony termites disappear after 2 minutes while other dead enemies disappear after 5 seconds. Dead enemies don't disappear in your nest.

You must choose either anesthetist or fast-responder medics before playing the level. You start with 20/ 16/ 13/ 10/ 10 soldier brood tiles.

Non-player colonies

The enemy termite colonies are hostile to each other.

Minor soldiers and major soldiers are kept around the queen and are only deployed to protect the gathering groups.

The termite colonies retreat inside at noon and gather lignocellulose within their territories for the rest of the day.

Brood tiles with eliminated termites can't incubate for 12 minutes. Nanitic workers aren't spawned for free when enemy colonies don't have any food.

Notable enemies

Enemies are on the same side and are hostile to the ants.

Earwigs and termites live in your nest.

Surface enemies don't invade your nest. They occasionally fight among themselves to keep their own number in check.

African tiger beetles, rainbow lizards and giant African mantises only appear on the surface during the day.

Rainbow lizards run out of the map when they have below 45% of their health. Large lizards will take medium lizards with them.

Earwigs, large sun spiders and alligator back scorpions only appear on the surface at night.

Titans

The size 1/ 1/ 2/ 3/ 4 titans appear one by one each night and invade your nest. They can excavate and release underground enemies in your nest. Night doesn't end until the titans are eliminated.

The huge sun spider appears on the third night. It destroys your surface nest entrance to let other titans invade on later days. This is a scripted event. It will stun all creatures on the surface if it is damaged too quickly.

The huge African giant centipede appears on the fourth night. It can rush forward and remove mounting ants when it has below 80% of its health. This ability has a cooldown of 23 seconds.

The huge emperor scorpion appears on the fifth night. It can become invulnerable for 5 seconds each time it removes mounting ants.

Challenge

Assassin bugs gather on the ways to termite mounds. They only disappear briefly at noon.
