Your brood sister's colony is very brave and enthusiastic but not very smart, you'll want to keep them out of trouble.

Objectives

  • Eliminate all enemies.
  • Keep both queens alive.

Settings

A wood ant colony must keep an ally colony from getting in trouble. The nests are separated by a small ridge. Nest entrance has already been excavated.

You only have access to rapid-fire shooters.

Non-player colony

The ally wood ant colony only has access to rapid-fire shooters.

It only controls a single pheromone group. It consists of workers, soldiers and shooters.

The ally colony will move to designated locations on the map in a strict order. It doesn't respond when the queen is in danger. You will be alerted on the minimaps when it chooses a new location.

It comes to help you only once throughout the entire mission. This is a scripted event.

Notable enemies

Enemies are on the same side and are hostile to the ants.

Devil's coach horse beetles, woodlice and woodworms live in your nests.

Surface enemies, except for the first, the fourth and the fifthteenth group, will invade your nest if you attack them first.

If the ally colony fails to reach the designated locations in time, the respective surface enemies invade its nest instead.

Surface enemies in the second and the eleventh group will invade your nest and the ally nest respectively when the time comes, even if the ally colony hasn't attacked them.

An uber hermit crab hides under a log to the southwest of your nest. It doesn't move or appear on the minimap before the time comes. You don't have to eliminate it to beat the level.

Trivia

  • This level was originally called Brood Sisters during development. It was later changed to emphasize the amount of attention the ally colony needs.
  • John decided to keep the uber hermit crab in after some viewers suggested it as a joke.
