Settings
A termite colony must compete and outlast 2 rival termite colonies.
The level starts at night. It becomes scorching at noon and outside termites will take 5 damage every 5 seconds.
Your nest is located to the west of a small stream. Dead vegetation accumulates on the stream bank.
You start with 6 major worker brood tiles, 5 lignocellulose storage tiles and 5 fungus storage tiles.
AI colonies
The enemy termite colonies retreat inside at noon and gather lignocellulose within their territories for the rest of the day.
Minor soldiers and major soldiers are kept around the queen and are only deployed to protect the gathering groups.
After either of the enemy colonies has been defeated, the remaining colony will desperately invade your nest at night.
Notable enemies
Enemies are on the same side and are hostile to the termites and the Matabele ants.
Earwigs and alligator back scorpions live in your nest.
African stink ants appear underground and move through the soil toward your queen in the morning and in the evening, only when Matabele ants are absent. They eventually leave if you don't dig into their paths or after they have taken enough dead termites.
Surface enemies only appear on the eastern side of the mounds and don't invade your nest.
African tiger beetles, rainbow lizards and giant African mantises only appear on the surface during the day.
Earwigs, sun spiders, African giant centipedes and alligator back scorpions only appear on the surface at night.
Termite colonies gains resistance points by eliminating Matabele ants themselves. Matabele ants conduct raids in the morning and in the evening. They will target the colony with the lowest resistance points. They don't attack you on the first day. They retreat after they have taken enough casualties or dead termites.
Challenge
An emperor scorpion appears every night and enters your nest through the hillside spawner. It can excavate and release underground enemies in your nest.
It leaves after it has eliminated a certain number of termites. It increases in size and heals completely after each invasion.
