Strategies
- The clay pit is a valuable production building, able to technically endlessly produce 2 out of the 3 basic building materials: Clay can be turned into Bricks; Reed can be turned into Fabric.
- Since Update 1.4, the Clay Pit is also able to produce Resin, similarly to the Forester's Hut. It is an important new ingredient for Coats since the same update.
- Frogs have proficiency working the Clay Pit, and they are comforted working the Rain Collector type buildings. It is already a good idea to collect water if you have Frogs, but combining this with having a Clay Pit is a game winning strategy.
- Even though Clearance Water is used to work the Clay Pit, any left over Storm Water can be used to boost the building once Rain Engines are installed, just like any other production building.
- Producing large quantities of building materials can be turned into Pack of Building Materials, which can be simply sold to Traders, or used to upgrade Frog Houses, which from Upgrade level 3 can help the player generate resources in the form of additional Building Materials or Newcomers. This can 'snowball' into even more resources year by year.
- From Clay, the player is able to produce Pottery, a straightforward production chain to create for instance Pickled Goods, a food item that increases species' Resolve by a large amount.
- With the Steel Mattocks Cornerstone, the player is able to create both Stone and Reed in the Clay Pit, all the ingredients required for producing Training Gear!
