Background

A landing site is a plot of land or a specially prepared area of minimum permissible dimensions on any structures (roofs of buildings, surface platforms, etc.) intended for regular or episodic takeoffs and landings of helicopters (calculated without using the influence of an "air cushion"). It consists of a work area that provides parking, separation and landing of the helicopter, and security lanes located around the perimeter of the work area. Note. When the landing pads are located on the Safety lanes may not be provided on roofs of buildings, ships and similar structures.
