New to the game?

Hi, welcome to the Workers & resources: Soviet Republic game wiki. Workers & resources: Soviet Republic is an extraordinary city builder compared to other city builders. This is the only city builder in which players can actually control the construction of buildings. The players are the one who controls which building is being build and under their control the construction materials are delivered at the construction site.

Workers & resources: Soviet Republic has game settings with many options how the player would like to play the game. As a beginner, the player can go big straight away, but it's wiser to approach it in smaller steps, learn terraforming, learn how Worker behave in a republic and familiarize with buildings and vehicles.

A good way to start is to have a look at the in-game tutorials. Apart from that the player can find tutorials online. Be aware that at the moment, August 2022, the game is still in Early Access, still being developed, and many tutorials are created long time ago. A lot of them are still compatible with the current game version but can show other behavior and others can be outdated. Another good way of learning the game is to look how other players play the game. A lot of YouTubers play the game and publish the videos as 'Seasons' on YouTube commonly known as 'Let's play'.

Start playing the game with the least game settings enabled/select the easiest setting, regarding the difficulty setting use easy, that way the player can spent loads of Rubles/Dollars and learn how to use roads, place buildings and how the Citizens react and what they need. Later on the player can enable options in the game settings, some of these options don't require a restart of the current game, like Education simulation. Get to know the newly enabled game option and continue with the next one.

Of course use this wiki if looking for specific information. Just as the game, also this wiki is a work in progress.

Starting a new game

When starting a new game, many decisions have to be made to create the game the player wants. The player has to configure the game via the game settings menu, but after the game has started the decision making doesn't stop. In this Roadmap building a republic are hints how to progress and things to take care of.
