Back to Factions.
Faction Ideology
Humanity First vows to exterminate the aliens alongside any who sympathize with them.
The motto of Humanity First is:
They are not 'lifeforms' or 'xeno-sapients.' They are demons incarnate. They and the traitors who support them will face our judgment.
Faction Leader
The leader of Humanity First is Colonel Hanse Castillo. He served as an enlisted Paratrooper in Falklands War, and was awarded for bravery at Battle of Mount Longdon in 1982. After that, he trained at the United States Army School of the Americas and graduated in 1985. Castillo then served as a line officer or adviser with various anti-communist special operations units and militias in El Salvador, Nicaragua and Colombia in the late 1980s and 1990s. In the 2000s, Castillo worked in Pentagon’s Latin America policy arm. In 2015, he was briefly imprisoned in Buenos Aries on war crimes charges stemming alleged activities during Operation Condor in the early 1980s and was acquitted in 2016.
Interaction with Other Factions
Factions with Similar Ideology
Humanity First shares some similarities with The Resistance. Both have a negative view towards the aliens, albeit Humanity First is more xenophobic. An important difference between Humanity First and The Resistance is that The Resistance seeks to resist the aliens to preserve humanity, whereas Humanity First seeks not just to resist and push the aliens back, but to wipe the aliens out entirely, along with alien-sympathizing humans. Humanity First is also far more willing to engage in acts that exact a heavy human toll, whereas The Resistance has much stronger humanitarian concerns.
Ironically, precisely because Humanity First is more willing to commit atrocities, the atrocities can turn public opinion towards sympathizing with the aliens.
Factions with Opposite Ideology
Humanity First is naturally directly opposed to The Servants and The Protectorate, who advocate surrender to the aliens as the only means to avoid annihilation. In fact, HF can't even trade with these factions.
Humanity First is also opposed to The Academy, who seeks to cooperate with the aliens.
