Wells are residential buildings that supply water to the residents of the region they are placed in and allow for firefighting.

Construction

Wells require one Timber.png timber to be constructed and need to be placed on an underground water deposit, which can be viewed via an overlay by the same name in the construction tab.

Use

Wells provide residents of the region that the well has been placed in water access, which is a key requirement for the upgrading of burgage plots. To get water, villagers must go to the well nearest to their house—as that is the only one they can use unless they are firefighting—and fill up a bucket full of water that they will then return to their house with.

Wells also allow for firefighting to occur. In the event that a building catches fire, a villager will run to the nearest well fill a bucket of water, and attempt to extinguish the fire.

Appearance

Wells consist of a bucket attached to a rope, which is attached to a long stick that can be pulled down from another supporting stick. When pulled down by a villager, the bucket is dipped into water in the underground pit lined with bricks full of water.
