The logging camp is a gathering building used to collect timber by cutting down trees in the region.

Use

Upon placement, the logging camp will require 2 timber to be constructed. Timber requires an ox to be moved. Once fully built, up to 3 families can be assigned to work in it.

Mechanics

An area can be designated in which the families work. Using ctrl and scroll wheel, the area can be adjusted.

Family members will go to the area and cut trees down and then debranch them. This process converts them to timber logs. Timber cannot be moved by people carrying it; it must be moved by an ox. It can be helpful to have a hitching post with a family assigned to work it as an ox guide to move the timber. Timber is safe out in the open, but if there is nothing that requires it immediately, the ox can move it back to the logging camp for storage. Also an ox can be permanently assigned to the camp, which speeds up the transport process.

Trees will be removed from the area when they are cut down. They generally do not grow back on their own. To plant more trees, the use of a forester's hut is required.
